I know its been a couple weeks but I'd like to weigh in on the Plaxico Burress shooting incident. The off-field behavior of pro athletes is down right absurd. Guys who make millions of dollars a year to play a game are getting arrested left and right. Mike Vick, Rae Carruth, and even less serious things like steroid usage that results in multiple game suspensions. Seriously. What are these guys thinking? Are they thinking? They most not be if they're willing to jeopardize all that money and their status by doing dumb ass shit like organizing dog fights and shooting yourself in the leg at a night club with an unlicensed weapon. I know the majority of pro athletes aren't criminals like this but there are enough that it's a serious problem. On top of blatantly illegal off-field incidents, we can also talk about on-field antics.
More and more, especially in football, you see guys doing ridiculous celebrations after making a routine tackle. The best is when said celebration takes place during a blowout by a player on the losing team.
