The Mencia Boycott
This is a subject I've ranted about before (Carlos Mencia), but in hindsight I rushed and did a terrible job.
Lately there's been numerous commercials on Comedy Central in support of his new stand up special and for a new season of his show, Mind of Mencia. As I've stated before, I have never actually watched a full episode of his show. I mean, its hard to watch a show starring a guy who's just a complete fake. But this is more than just a rant of hate with no proof; I have evidence of his fakeness.
For example, his name is not Carlos, it's Ned. He's also not Mexican, he's Honduran. Good thing Comedy Central wants us to believes that his name is Carlos and that he's Mexican. They also want us to think he's funny. Good thing we have wonderful people at places like Maxim Magazine to name Mencia as the 12th-worst comedian of all time. Perhaps the biggest thing about Mencia is that he's a joke stealer. Its one thing to be original and yet still suck. Its way worse to rip off other peoples material and still be awful. Below will be a youtube clip of Joe Rogan calling out Mencia while Mencia was on stage doing a routine. Now I'm not a big Joe Rogan fan either but this clip is clearly worth watching and certainly the best thing Rogan has ever done.
In light of all this evidence I propose a Mencia Boycott. No one should watch his stand up or his show. Tell all your friends the same. Tell random strangers as well. Fuck tell everyone. It still boggles my mind as to how his show got renewed anyways. Do that many people actually watch his show? If so that just shows the sad state of not only television but society in general.
