Blow...

Me. Just kidding. But on a serious note, yea blow me.

So saturday Cakes and I we're set to go see this band called Ours out at the Showplace theatre. We left my house around 645 and hit the road. Aside from the monsoon, the drive was fine. Located the venu with ease. Its a small little s-hole down on the border of Buffalo and Tonowanda. Cakes calls up baby bandit who was also going to the show to see if he was there yet. Thats when we learned some distressing news. The show had been re-scheduled to the 19th of August. Great. Just drove 45 min to the ghetto for nothing. So we leave. On the way back we see something that makes the whole trip worth while.

Im on military road headed back to the 290. On my right I see this guy standing on a porch, just wearing shorts, no shirt. Hes leaning on a wooden railing and his upper body is moving rapidly up n down and side to side. Naturally this looks funny so I start laughing. It is then that Cakes makes a startling observation. This guy is doing a line of coke off the railing. In broad daylight, on a busy road. Only a scum from Tonowanda could be capable of such an act.

Here Nor There

What's up kids? I'm reporting to you live from happy fun time land. This is one of those updates for the sake of an update since its been like a week. So whats new and stuff. Nothing. Been workin and hanging out. Oh, I ate 8 bugers at teddy's the other day in one sitting plus 2 hot dogs and some brownies. That was pretty amazing. I also stayed awake for 39 hours in a row over the course of saturday/sunday.

Jeff Martin was at the square last thursday, that was pretty awesome.

I dont really have much to say. Just kinda going with the flow. Think I've finally adjusted to being a khaki/polo 9-5 guy. Its allright I guess. The nighthawk still lurks inside of me, ready to take over at a moments notice though. Thinkin maybe cooking out and swimming on saturday if its nice out. Lemmie know. Think thats all i got for now. Losing streak is still in tact if anyone is wondering. I can't buy a win at anything.

An Heir To The Throne

I'll admit that I don't watch a ton of TV. In the past I've even gone so far as to post about how bad TV is and even single out exceptionally bad shows. One show that I love however is Seinfeld. I'll also admit that I didn't even begin to watch Seinfeld until after the series had ended. Since I started watching it though I have come to realize that it was/is the best non-animated show that TV has ever seen. 9 wondrous seasons with episodes generally about nothing or about everyday common occurrences. What made the show so special was the cast. Never before had 4 people gelled so well together on screen and complimented each other. Seinfeld has been "off the air" since 1998, though you can catch re-runs at least 3 times a day everyday. It's still the best show on TV despite the fact there hasn't been a new episode in 8 years. Until now.

I first saw Entourage over at Cake's house while playing poker one night. I was immediatly drawn in by the commedy and the cast. Like Seinfeld, it features a tight knit cast that just sparkels on screen. The main difference is that Entourage has a clear plot line. Also its on HBO, which allows it to be naughty. So after 8 years I think its safe to say that we have a new champion in the "sitcom" world. Entourage is now in its 3rd season and is only getting stronger. Heres hoping it has a long run because its an excellent show that deserves some long term success.
