Look, a list of songs!

I listen to a lot of music, and i listen to music pretty much every waking moment in a day. So i got to thinking, what are some of the truly great songs out there. Songs that are so catchy you could put them on repeat for days and not get tired of them. Songs that are so epic that when its over you're left in a state of awe. Songs that have been around for awhile that you always find yourself falling back on. So i comprised a list of 50 of these such songs. Songs that everyone should know and have. Today i will being to list them out in groups of 10, starting with number 50 and working up to the top 10 greatest songs of all time according to Cam.

50. Foo Fighters- Stacked Actors
49. Wide Mouth Mason- Midnight Rain
48. The Trews- Tired of Waiting
47. Paul Oakenfold- Ready Steady Go
46. Peark Jam- Yellow Ledbetter
45. Sam Roberts- Hard Road
44. Treble Charger- Red
43. Pearl Jam- Rearview Mirror
42. Oasis- Supersonic
41. The Trews- Got Myself to Blame

Above i eluded to some general things that make a song great. There are some specific things a band can incorporate into a song to make it great. The key with some of these is to not overuse them. With some of these using them once is enough for the whole cd and any more would take away the signifigance of said event. These elements are as follows:

the hand clap (more clutch in solo form)
the banjo
the piano (as backing instrument, not lead)
the harmonica
the hum/whoaa (see weezer- haunt you everyday, MGB- advertising on police cars, change of season)
the whistle (vocal, not the object)

So there you have it, 10 great songs and reasons why songs are great, both general and specific. 40-31 to come tomorrow
